Untitled [Red Rad 15000 W]
A site specific work in collaboration with Bjarke P.Z. Olsen in The Old Church in Amsterdam. Four heaters, of 3000 Watts each, create heat for the visitor of the exhibition. The church is the oldest in town and located in the heart of the Red Light District. An area well known for it's prostitutes, junkies, dealers and tourists. The floor of the church consists of old graves. The massive stones have an outside temperature of the January winter. The work can be activated by a time based foot switch.
The work was part of a group exhibition of students of the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam.
